Rob is 40 years old and was born in Philadelphia, PA where he grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California with his mother and 3 sisters. Rob graduated high school and was drafted in the 10th round by the Atlanta Braves in June 1993. He played professionally for 13 years for 9 different teams (Atlanta Braves, Anaheim Angels, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, Montreal Expos, Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles, and the Chicago Whitesox.) Rob played 7 different positions ( 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF) with 3B being his primary position. He career high in stolen bases with 38 in 1996. Rob then led our team in stolen bases with 37 in 1997, and was named to the All Star team. He won best defensive third basemen and led our team in Hr (17) and rbi’s (77) in 1997. He made his Major League debut playing for Texas Rangers in 1998, hit a career high 25 Hr in 2000. Rob is currently coaching in his 9th season for the Chicago White Sox Organization. He has been a Minor League Hitting Instructor each of his 9 years coaching in the White Sox Organization.
